Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of PrinceJohn (the “Service”), operated by PrinceJohn (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

PrinceJohn is a portfolio-intelligence tool. It connects to your brokerage account in read-only mode through Plaid, monitors market information, and produces AI-generated analysis, recommendations, alerts, and answers to questions about your portfolio.

• The Service is read-only. It cannot place, modify, or cancel orders, move money, or otherwise transact in any account you connect.
• Every recommendation is informational. Acting on it — or not — is entirely your decision, made outside the Service through your own broker.
• We are not a custodian. We never hold your funds or securities.

The Service’s outputs — including recommendations, analyses, conviction scores, chat responses, and alerts — are generated by automated systems for informational and educational purposes only. They are not investment, financial, legal, or tax advice, and they are not a recommendation tailored to your personal financial situation by a licensed adviser.

We are not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, or fiduciary, and no advisory or fiduciary relationship is created by your use of the Service. Investing involves risk, including loss of principal. Past performance — including the Service’s own track record of recommendations — does not guarantee future results. Always consider consulting a qualified professional before making investment decisions.

• You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service.
• You are responsible for the security of the sign-in methods (Google, Microsoft, or email) attached to your account.
• You agree to provide accurate information and to use the Service only for your own accounts.

Brokerage data is accessed through Plaid Inc. By connecting an account you also agree to Plaid’s terms and privacy policy. We receive read-only data such as positions, balances, and transactions; we do not receive or store your brokerage username or password. You can disconnect your brokerage at any time in Settings.

• Do not attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users’ data.
• Do not use the Service to violate any law or regulation, including securities laws.
• Do not scrape, resell, or redistribute the Service’s outputs as your own advisory product.
• Do not reverse engineer the Service except where the law permits it despite this restriction.

The Service is currently free during early access, with no credit card required. We may introduce paid plans in the future; if we do, we will give existing users clear advance notice, and no charges will ever be made without your explicit agreement.

We own the Service, including its software, design, and branding. You retain your rights to your own data. You grant us the limited license needed to process your data to operate the Service, as described in the Privacy Policy.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its outputs (including AI-generated content, which can be wrong) will be accurate, complete, or profitable. Market data and synced brokerage data may be delayed or contain errors.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, or investment losses, arising out of or related to your use of the Service — including decisions you make based on its outputs. Our total aggregate liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or one hundred US dollars (US $100).

You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account in Settings → Account → Delete account, which deletes the personal data associated with your account as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will notify you (for example by email or an in-product notice) before it takes effect. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which PrinceJohn’s operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
